Galen SaturleyGalen is Vice President of Breadtopia, a family-owned company devoted to providing to customers the highest quality USDA certified flours and organic grains, including heirloom and ancient grains. Self-taught, Galen designed and implemented Breadtopia's commercial mill and production. To him elevating the quality of food and the overall experience of enjoying it is essential. His experience as a food photographer working with dynamic chefs fueled this knowledge and drive. Socially responsible environmental and economic stewardship of our land is a passion of Galen's. He works with a number of farmers and community organizations focusing on building a prosperous, non commodity local grain economy and the promotion of sustainable farming practices. He hopes to generate a broader understanding and appreciation of the nutritional and economic value of heirloom grains and oats, as well as their exceptional flavor and exciting applications in the culinary world.
