Robert and Lara Swan have lived several lives in the corporate world, none of which were as compelling or nourishing as their current bagel-slinging, wheat-championing life.  They have owned and operated Great Bagel & Bakery in Lexington, KY for eight years;  most recently, they've shown their passion and commitment to nutrition, sustainability, and flavor by partnering with a 5th generation organic farm and converting their business model to utilize primarily organic, stone-milled wheat that they mill in-house. 

Robert is the baking whiz responsible for converting and creating all their recipes (to great fanfare!).  Lara is responsible for telling their story, telling the story of wheat, and welcoming folks into that fold!     

When they're not working (which is never, ha) you’ll find them soaking up every minute of joy with their beautiful boys, and traveling to other bakeries, bagel shops, and restaurants!
