Mindy Merrell & R.B. Quinn
Mindy Merrell & R.B. Quinn
Mindy Merrell and R.B. Quinn are curious explorers of the home kitchen, always looking to change minds and challenge conventional thinking.
Mindy is a seasoned veteran (old) land grand university home ec major from Virginia Tech. She has spent much of her career working in food marketing spreading great ideas (propaganda) about food and beverage products to home cooks. Her southern biscuit expertise comes from many years of working with the Martha White test kitchen extolling the wonders of Hot Rize! and commodity southern soft wheat flour. She is a winner of the Food Network show Chopped! (episode 251).
R.B. Quinn (Mindy’s husband, co-deconstructionist and Balding Eagle Scout) wrote the popular Fire Zone outdoor grilling column for the Tennessean for many years and is a recovering attorney specializing in First Amendment Law. Together they wrote Cheater BBQ, the definitive antithesis to barbecue hype. Their latest jag is using the platter salad to help folks face their fears and reconnect with their lost creativity in the everyday kitchen. They live in Nashville, TN and teach biscuit workshops whenever possible. Find them at RBandMindy.com.
